Sony has officially announced the ZV-1, a compact camera designed specifically for shooting video specifically, it designs for vlogging which can be similar to the latest RX100 series model. The sensor and lens might be familiar, but the body, the controls, the audio, and the rear screen all new and different and optimized brilliantly for vlogging.
The ZV-1 weighs 294 grams and is Sony’s first compact camera with a flip-out, tiltable LCD screen. Sony ZV-1 features a 20.1-megapixel, 1-inch sensor, and a 2.7x optical zoom support. We can find ranges from f/1.8 to f/2.8 EISS Vario-Sonnar T large-aperture lens. The ISO range is from 125 to 12,800. Sony says when a 4K video is recorded using Optical SteadyShot (Active Mode), the stabilization is said to improve up to 8 times.
It also has a Directional three-capsule mic with a windscreen. There are the 3.5mm mic jack and MI Shoe that makes it convenient to connect to a wide range of external microphones. The Real-Time Eye AF tracking is uncanny in its accuracy and speed, and the product showcase AF just brings a smile to your face when you use it because of its speed and the professional look of its fast but smooth refocusing action (if it’s too fast, you can slow it down). The ZV-1 has a dedicated button for adjusting the background bokeh when shooting vlogs.
The price of ZV-1 is $749.99.
